The newborn arrived between Monday night and Tuesday morning in the Princess Grace Hospital in Monaco. He is the third addition to the list of Princess Caroline’s grandchildren in 2018.

According to French source Voici, the child has been named Balthazar.

The boy’s father is Charlotte’s fiancé, 36-year-old film producer Dimitri Rassam. Charlotte and Dimitri made their first public appearance together last March. The couple is known for their discretion and remained distant from the press for the birth of their new child. Rassam also has a daughter from his first union.

Balthazar is Casiraghi’s second son. She has a four-year-old boy, Raphaël, from a prior relationship with French comedian Gad Elmaleh.
