As part of the declaration “Towards Monaco without AIDS”, Fight Aids Monaco, in collaboration with the Monaco Government and the Monaco City Council, recently signed the launch of a communication campaign on HIV prevention.
This signature was part of the international movement, “Prevention Access Campaign” #U = U. The theme of this communication campaign “U = U #Undetectable = Untransmissible” is declined in Monaco in “I = I / Indetectable = Intransmissible”.
At this signing join two Monegasque associations involved in the fight against AIDS, the Monegasque Red Cross and Amade. Along with two medical experts Mr Gervais Dionne, co-discoverer of 3TC (one of the main molecules of treatment against HIV) and Dr Bruno Taillan, Vice President of Fight Aids Monaco and Internal Medicine, Hematologist at CHPG.
The “I = I” campaign was officially launched on Saturday, December 1st, World AIDS Day. This same day, Fight Aids Monaco signed the “I = I” convention. It also organised the deployment of the quilts in homage to those who died of AIDS at the Oceanographic Museum.
In the evening, during the pre-match warm-up between AS Monaco Football Club and Montpellier Herault Sporting Club, counting for the 15th day of the French Ligue 1 championship, the Monaco players all sported a flocked t-shirt from campaign logo.
