Patrick Poivre d’Arvor will present his latest novel The Revenge of the Wolf (La Vengeance du Loup) at the Salon du livre de Monaco being held this weekend on the Port Hercules.
The author and journalist Patrick Poivre d’Arvor, known as PPDA, is the figurehead and the guest of honor for the 8th edition of the Salon du livre de Monaco, which opens tomorrow morning and will run until Sunday evening. He will present his latest work, entitled “The Revenge of the Wolf.”
Published in Grasset, this novel about initiation evokes paternity, as well as themes of vengeance and abandonment. The narrative follows the destiny of Charles, who, from childhood to adulthood, is confronted with the complexity of his family history and seeks to achieve his loftiest ambitions – to become President of France! This work comes from the man who for 29 years presented the 8 pm newscast. His experience provides a rich, hands-on, uncompromising study of politics and the media.
PPDA is a regular at the Principality’s book fair, having attended since his early childhood. The writer spent many holidays with his grandparents, residents of Monaco, who lived on the Port Hercules before moving to Boulevard des Moulins. Since then, the ties were never broken. A member of the Yacht Club, the Frenchman never misses the celebrity tournament during the Monte-Carlo Masters. He also regularly comes to the Piano Masters.
His novel will undoubtedly be a big success at the salon, which takes place this year in the showroom of the Quai Antoine Ier, on the Port Hercules. More than 100 authors and thousands of visitors are expected for this event organized each year by the “Fabian Boisson Literary Encounters” association.
