The luxury shoemaker Berluti is opening its fiftieth shop worldwide, a special boutique in Monaco. Located in the Hotel de Paris, this new Riviera gem, following the opening of the shop in Cannes, gives pride of place to elegance, thanks to a modern layout.
It has now been more than 124 years since the French brand Berluti, founded by Alessandro Berluti, has been a mainstay in the luxury shoe industry. Owned by the LVMH group since 1993, it is now managed by Antonio Belloni, with Kris Van Assche, formerly of Dior Homme, assuming the role of artistic director over the last year. The brand is especially known for inventing the Alessandro, an iconic model of laced shoe that is a major pillar int heir world-renowned repertoire.
Leather on the Rock
Located on the Place du Casino, in the Hotel de Paris, this 50th shoe shop will occupy 85 square meters. It will boast a private salon with tastefully selected designer furniture to complete the sales area, where the brand’s shoe models, accessories, and leather goods will be on display. The new shop is also in close proximity to the major fashion houses that can be found throughout the Monte-Carlo Shopping Promenade, neighboring the biggest names in luxury goods from Chanel to Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Van Cleef & Arpels, and Prada.
