Working visit of an OIF delegation

On October 30 and 31, 2019, the Principality of Monaco will host the 36th Ministerial Conference of La Francophonie on the theme: “Reconciling Humanity and the Planet: Perspectives in the Francophone Space on the eve of the 50th anniversary of the OIF”.

In this context, a high-level delegation from the International Organization of La Francophonie visited Monaco on May 7 and 8 to discuss all the protocol and logistical aspects of organizing this event, which will bring together numerous Ministers and nearly 450 delegates.

On the 7th of May, on the occasion of this visit, Vanessa Lamothe-Matignon, Special Adviser to the Secretary-General of La Francophonie in charge of forums and partnerships, spoke with Gilles Tonelli, Government Counselor-Minister of External Relations and Cooperation, in the presence of Mr Christophe Steiner, Ambassador, Personal Representative of Monaco to the OIF.

Mr. Tonelli confirmed to his interlocutor that all services of the Government of Monaco were mobilized to make this event a real success. In addition, he indicated that every effort would be made to minimize the carbon footprint of this Ministerial Conference.

This working visit marks the excellence of the collaboration between the OIF and the Prince’s Government.
