Great success for Dali, a history of painting exhibition in Monaco

Open to the public since July 6th, the exhibition Dali, A History of Painting, at the Monaco Grimaldi Forum has been a wild success. The exhibition is part of the 30th anniversary of the artist’s death and embodies the ongoing love affair that art lovers have with the multifaceted artist that was Salvador Dali.

It was the most anticipated cultural event of this summer in Monte Carlo – the exhibition dedicated to Salvador Dali at the Grimaldi Forum Monaco. Visitors can discover some 73 years of masterpieces, paintings, sculptures, drawings, and photographs, in a large retrospective showing how Dali was able to make a name for himself in the history of 20th-century art. By regularly returning to the creative front, from cubism to impressionism, through abstraction and the use of his own dreams, the artist inspired awe and wonder. An artist who painted up until the end of his life and whose latest works reflect his impressions of approaching death and the timeless dimensions of his art.

Already one of the most visited exhibitions in Monaco

In just three weeks, the exhibition has already attracted more than 20,000 visitors. An impressive figure that already makes it one of the most significant art events ever presented at the Grimaldi Forum. Estimates of the total number of visitors at the end of the exhibition, scheduled for September 8th, have already reached higher targets. A recurring phenomenon when it comes to Dali, like the many events featuring his work taking place around the world every year that attract fans and curious people en masse. Timeless, indeed.
