The wait is coming to an end. Fans of the video game Shenmue will be able to find their universe renewed on November 19th, a national holiday in the Principality. A release scheduled like the tip of a hat since it is the production company Monégasque Shibuya Production who developed and produced this new opus.
Two. This is the number of days that fans of the game Shenmue, now produced by the Monegasque company Shibuya Production, will have to wait for its next release. If this does not seem endless, it must be said that this week is the culmination of 18 years of waiting. Almost two decades during which players have had to wait before finding the characters who Cedric Biscay, founder of Shibuya Production, and his team took the risk of reviving its slew of characters. Patience that will soon be rewarded on a date that is not insignificant since it is November 19th, the day of the national holiday in the Principality.
6 million euros raised for its development
Shenmue III, whose release was announced in 2015, will be available to all happy owners of a PlayStation 4 or a gaming PC. This much anticipated third installment was financed by a crowdfunding campaign on the Kickstarter platform. No less than 6 million euros were collected for its design and this, in a few hours. The stakes are high for Shibuya Production, which is committed to offering a new adventure in the universe imagined by Yu Suzuki, and to fund its development through donations. In this context, we imagine that the choice to (finally) reveal the content on the day of the national holiday is not completely random for the Monegasque team. We wish them this symbolic date to bring them luck!
