E-Rally Monte-Carlo 2020 unveils programme
The fifth edition of the E-Rally Monte-Carlo, held between October 22nd and 25th, will take place around the Principality with a new route through the Alpes-Maritimes and the Var regions of the Riviera.
The Organising Committee of the Automobile Club de Monaco released the programme for the 2020 edition of the E-Rally Monte Carlo on June 13th. Due to the pandemic, and to help stimulate Monaco’s economy, all races will start from the Principality.
The coronavirus pandemic also forced organisers to decrease the total mileage while keeping the 220 stage kilometres “as stipulated by the international regulations of the discipline.” There will be a total of ten rally stages offered to participants.
The E-Rally, taking place from October 22nd to 25th, will have four stages. Starts and finishes will be at the Quai des États-Unis in Monaco, and all routes will be centred in Alpes-Maritimes and Var, two regions of the French Riviera. “This concentration doesn’t mean simplifying the difficulty of the E-Rally Monte-Carlo, that’s for sure!” assured the Organising Committee of the Automobile Club de Monaco. The second stage, on Friday, October 23rd, will be the longest, with 360 kilometres to be fought over in Var.
