YERSIN, the explorer motor yacht made to be 95% recyclable, has been listed for sale by Fraser in Monaco.
The “go-anywhere” explorer cruiser is one of the world’s most green vessels, with extremely low fuel consumption and low emissions.
Monaco’s exploration boat
Completed and first launched in 2015, the YERSIN was Monaco’s primary research vessel until it went on the market earlier this year. One hundred twenty years since the Principality’s ocean explorations last took place, YERSIN’s journey was part of HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco’s mission to revitalise Monaco’s research.
The boat first left Port Hercule on 27th July 2017 for a three-year round-the-world scientific voyage, studying coral and marine life. Albert II’s wife Princess Charlene was the ship’s sponsor.
Luxury Features
After this expedition, YERSIN underwent a refit in Marseille to include more luxury features before it went on the market. It sleeps up to 22 people, with 18 people accommodated in private guest rooms.
Onboard features include an elevator connecting all decks, spa, hammam, gym, cinema, several dining areas (including a teppanyaki grill), lounges, a lobby and eight staterooms. There is also a professional diving facility, media room and conference room.
Built by Piriou, a French shipyard specialised in manufacturing oceanographic, fishing and navy vessels, YERSIN was designed to go to the world’s most remote destinations with the highest levels of safety and comfort.
The asking price is €79.5 million, VAT paid.
