If it were ever on your bucket list to own a piece of royal history, now is your chance. The Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation South Africa has launched an auction to raise money in the fight against COVID-19.
As part of the #StrongTogether global initiative, the South African chapter of the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation has launched a charity auction to fund initiatives which are helping communities affected by the pandemic.
What’s up for grabs?
Items on offer at the auction have been hand picked by Prince Albert II of Monaco and Princess Charlene herself. They include a chosen work from photographer Kristian Schmidt, personally selected by the Princess, as well as a portrait of Princess Charlene by Conor Mccreedy.
There is also opportunity to bid on Prince Albert’s Olympic bobsled shoes and Princess Charlene’s Tesla Model S P85.
#StrongTogether: a symbol of unity and solidarity
“#StrongTogether represents a symbol of unity and solidarity, encouraged by Monaco’s sovereign family and Prince Albert II, who contracted and recovered from the coronavirus in March this year,” says the Foundation.
The South African branch of the Foundation has been committed to charitable projects since December 2017. Running alongside the charity auction is the current #StrongTogether Celebrity Challenge, which aims to bring together celebrities from arts, culture, music, and sport by challenging each other to raise the most funds for charity.
