Exceptional auctions return to Hôtel des Ventes de Monte-Carlo
From July 18th to 21st, the Hôtel des Ventes de Monte-Carlo will offer a series of prestigious auctions. Buyers can hope to see jewellery, luxury leather goods, collector’s watches, archaeological finds and a collection of paintings and sculptures on this year’s lots.
The summer session will begin with a jewellery sale on July 18th and 19th. A total of 360 lots will be offered. Among the most prestigious pieces are a white gold necklace set with diamonds, estimated at between €170,000 and €200,000, and a Bulgari signet ring in yellow gold set with an emerald weighing 6.74 karats, estimated at between €120,000 and €150,000.
An astronomical Patek Philippe watch
For the ladies, July 20th will be dedicated to luxury leather goods with Hermès, Chanel and Louis Vuitton products. Later in the day, collector’s watches will be in the spotlight, including Celestial, a Patek Philippe wristwatch that, for many, will be the stuff of dreams. In 18-carat white gold, it displays a moving celestial map on its dial that indicates the position of the moon and its phases during the lunar cycle. The estimated price? Between €170,000 and €220,000.
An auction of archaeological finds will take place on July 21st. Among the 157 items on sale, buyers will be able to find, among others, Egyptian and Greek antiquities and antique jewellery. Finally, the summer session will end with an auction of modern paintings and sculptures at the end of the day. Pieces by Edgar Degas, Richard Guino, Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dali and Caesar will be among the lots.
All sales will take place in the Salon Bellevue of the Café de Paris, on the Place du Casino. For more information on the pieces and auction schedules, please visit the HVMC website.
