A kind Christmas: 800 toys donated to the children of Storm Alex valleys
The Children & Future charity, helped by Monaco Taxis, the Semeurs d’Espoir Association and Monaco Humanitarian Aid, are bringing some Christmas spirit to the valleys most affected by Storm Alex.
“These children need us, and we must not disappoint them,” said Prince Albert on 14 November during the inauguration of the 21st edition of No Finish Line. No Finish Line is a charity race organised in Monaco on a yearly basis by Children & Future. Alongside the race, Children & Future also ran a toy collection for the children of the communities most affected by storm Alex, which in early October devastated the Riviera’s hinterland.

An overwhelming amount of donations
In just over a week, Children & Future received over 800 donations. The toys, which also include DVDs, books, and board games, have been handed over to the townhall of the villages. In order to divide the toys accordingly, Children & Future contacted each commune prior to the collection to know the exact number of children and their age distribution.
A new project for the children of the Storm Alex valleys
Children & Future has announced that it will finance a project for the children of the valleys. The project is currently under review. The project will be financed thanks to the 319,560 euros raised during the latest edition of No Finish Line. The next edition of the charity race will take place from 13 to 21 November 2021.
