Looking for unusual Christmas presents? Look no further. The latest auction by the Hotel des Ventes de Monte-Carlo is an eclectic array of jewelry, vintage handbags, furniture, and archeological artifacts.

“We have an exceptional 98-carat sapphire on a diamond necklace from a princely family,” Chantal Beauvois, president of the auction house, told Monaco Info. The latest auction at the Hotel des Ventes Monte-Carlo does not disappoint. The auction is centred around five categories: jewellery, watches, vintage, luxury leather goods, furniture, and archaeology.

Cameos are making a comeback

As well as rare and branded jewelry, the auction offers an exceptional selection of mainly Roman, Greek, and Egyptian archaeological artifacts from private collections. Collectors will find an “incredible collection of intaglios and cameos which are becoming particularly fashionable again, as well as beautiful authenticated sculptures, some of which date back to four centuries BC”.
