Centre Scientifique de Monaco receives generous donation of 11,000 euros to fight childhood cancer

The cheque was presented by the Climbers Against Cancer charity.
On Monday 19 June, Dr Vincent Picco, Head of Research in the Stem Cells and Brain Tumours Team at the Monaco Scientific Centre (CSM), welcomed Sheila McCarron, an active member of Climbers Against Cancer (CAC).
She presented him with a cheque for £10,000 – just over €11,000 – to support the Centre’s research into paediatric cancers.

CAC raises funds through online sales of different items of clothing in bright colours, and through donations. The money is then donated in turn to cancer research organisations around the world.

The charity is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year. The aim is to make ten donations of £10,000, covering every continent! To date, CAC has donated more than £500,000 to research organisations around the world.
