Conferences and awards ceremonies featured heavily over the two days dedicated to one of easyGroup’s subsidiaries.

On 10 and 11 June, the Principality of Monaco hosted the easyStorage Conference & Franchisee Awards 2023, in partnership with easyGroup and its founder, Monegasque resident Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou.

Key members of the group were present, as were representatives of Basil Fry, the insurance broker who sponsored the event.

Following a conference at the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation’s premises on day 1, where the entrepreneur spoke along with other members of easyGroup, participants were able to find out more about the Group’s different brands and the work carried out by the Foundation.

The aim for the first day was to showcase easyGroup’s considerable heritage, which contributed greatly to the success of the self-service furniture storage subsidiary, easyStorage. Nigel Dawson, co-founder and the brand’s Dealer Director, welcomed the “incredible engagement” between Sir Stelios and easyStorage.

“It was truly inspiring to see how Sir Stelios shared his personal journey and experiences, and how the franchisees eagerly absorbed his wisdom and insights. Sir Stelios’ presence and his ability to connect with each individual left a lasting impression on me. His passion for easyStorage and his genuine interest in the success of the franchisees was evident in every conversation,” he said.

At the end of the conference, the easyStorage Franchisee Awards were held: a ceremony that recognises outstanding achievements in a wide range of categories, including customer service, marketing and innovation. Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou himself presented the Franchise of the Year award to Kristof Nemeth, owner of easyStorage London.

The evening ended with a dinner at the prestigious Monaco Yacht Club, hosted by Sir Stelios, followed by a visit to the Monte-Carlo Casino. The following day, other conferences were held on a variety of subjects, including innovation, marketing and relations within the company.
