The event, which has been organised by the Princess Charlene Foundation since 2014, brought around a hundred schoolchildren to Larvotto beach.

After a Water Safety Day organised in Corsica last week, the Princess brought the workshops on surf lifesaving, water safety and first aid to Monaco on Thursday 22 June. The event was attended by classes from Collège Charles III (Secondary year 8, US 7th grade), Institution François D’Assise-Nicolas Barré (Secondary year 7, US 6th grade) and Ecole de la Condamine (Primary year 6, US 5th grade).

The Princess was able to rely on Pierre Frolla and his team from the Monegasque Marine Academy, who supervised the special event with the help of Monegasque Red Cross lifeguard trainers. A number of champions also turned up. Speaking to Monaco Info, Olympic swimming medallist Coralie Balmy stressed the “children’s enthusiasm, motivation and curiosity”. One of them even said: ” I wish this day would last forever.” Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end!
