Five euros were donated to the Oceanographic Institute for each of the OCEANO shirts, in the colours of the Mediterranean coast, that have been sold. A total of €20,245 was raised in support of the Institute’s activities.

“We were proud to wear this symbolic shirt and to have had the opportunity to carry out this unique project with the Museum’s staff. We hope it will have raised awareness of the need to protect the Ocean. We will certainly continue to monitor and support the Institute’s efforts on that front,” said Thiago Scuro.

A shared commitment

Since last year, AS Monaco and the Oceanographic Institute hve joined forces to raise awareness about the protection of the Ocean and its biodiversity. This has resulted in a number of actions being taken.

There was the ” I Fenuyëti ” tournament, organised by the Club to raise awareness on marine issues among the younger generation. At the initiative of the Friends of the Museum (AAMOM) and AS Monaco, a dozen  La Diagonale U16 players, volunteers and Institute staff also cleaned a beach close to the Principality.

In addition, the Kids Tour caravan made a stop in front of the Oceanographic Museum on the occasion of the 2023 Museum Festival.
