Grace de Monaco launches Sunglass Collection
The ‘luxury-for-good maison’ honours Princess Grace’s legacy, with all profits going to the Foundation that bears her name and supports the stars of the future.
Summer has arrived on the Côte d’Azur, which means bright, sunny days, when quality protective eyewear is essential. Good news, now you can choose from the Grace de Monaco sunglass collection with eight silhouettes designed as a tribute to Princess Grace’s timeless style. 100% of Grace de Monaco profits support the Princess Grace Foundation-USA (PGF-USA) to fund grants for emerging artists in theatre, dance and film, so you’ll be doing good while looking good!
“When your muse is someone as timeless as Princess Grace, there’s no shortage of iconic moments from which to draw inspiration,” says Claudia Poccia, Chief Executive Officer of Grace de Monaco, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the PGF-USA. “The collection is an inspired, modern version of what Princess Grace herself may have worn today.”
The Drama Collection
Inspired by the maison’s muse, Princess Grace, and her many iconic roles, The Drama Collection features expertly crafted eyewear in a range of styles. Each is named after a character played by Grace Kelly (Frances, Margot, Tracy, Georgie) or by one of her charismatic co-stars, Cary Grant (Robie).
The brand is committed to unparalleled craftsmanship, sustainability and the highest quality materials. The lightweight frames are designed in Italy by a third-generation family-owned business and made from sustainably sourced, plant-based acetate. The custom lenses are polarised, anti-reflective and scratch resistant, offering 100% UV protection.
The Grand Prix Collection
These models are named after curves and bends from Monte-Carlo’s Grand Prix racetrack – Rascasse, Sainte Dévote, Mirabeau and Piscine.
Handmade in Italy from recycled metal and featuring a hypoallergenic coating, they are brushed by hand and provide 100% UV protection.
A Foundation to honour Princess Grace’s legacy
As a reminder, the Princess Grace Foundation-USA was set up in 1982 by Prince Rainier III in honour of his wife. Based in New York City, the not-for-profit Foundation is dedicated to honouring the legacy of the late Princess. Her commitment to advance the arts in the United States is sustained by the Princess Grace Awards, which support and elevate early-career artists in theatre, dance and film thanks to generous grants, then nurtures and supports its Award winners through their careers. The Foundation has awarded over 900 recipients to date.
The women’s, men’s and unisex frames are available at www.gdmonaco.com.
Prices range from $395-$450 (USD) plus shipping.
