Jenson Button, born 19 January 1980 in Frome, Somerset, is a British racing driver. He competed in 17 seasons in Formula 1 from 2000 to 2016 and made 305 starts. He became world champion in 2009 at the wheel of a Brawn-Mercedes. He has been a member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) since 2009.

I’ve had some really frustrating moments in my career, I’d look in the mirror and think: “Why am I not fast enough?”.

Jenson Button adopted a gentle riding style, preferring finesse to aggression, which allowed him to optimise his tyre management and take advantage of the difficult weather conditions.
