The two-time Formula 1 champion participated in races from 1991 to 2001. Apparently, it is during this time that his love for Monaco began, as he was competing on one of the most prestigious F1 tracks.

Despite the fact that the former racer has apartments in France and Finland, Mika has lived in the Principality since 1991. With the recent frustration of young pilots, caused by changes in the regulations, «the flying Finn» stood up for the track in Monaco, calling the race in the Principality «a special Grand Prix». Considering the race through the narrow streets of Monaco boring, the current pilots questioned holding the race in the Principality.

Monaco is a very demanding circuit. If you panic, you are in the wall.

Former racing driver, Hakkinen won the Forumla 1 world championship twice: in 1998 and 1999. He retired from car racing in 2007. Hakkinen also owns property in Finland and France, as well as in Monaco.
