Petra Kvitová

Petra Kvitová is a Czech tennis player born on 8 March 1990 in Bílovec. Renowned for the quality of her serve and forehand, she became well known after reaching the semi-finals of the 2010 Wimbledon tournament, where she lost to Serena Williams.

In 2011, at the end of a great year, she won six tournaments, including the Madrid Open, Wimbledon and the Masters, reaching second place in the world at the end of the year. In 2014, she won the Wimbledon tournament for the second time.

My aggression has affected my life enormously

Assaulted with a knife at her home by a burglar, she underwent an operation on her hand and had to leave the courts in 2017. She finally came back into the top 5 in 2018, managing for the second time in her career claim the numer 2 world ranking after losing the final of the 2019 Australian Open.

At the age of 29, Petra Kvitova decided to move to Monaco and enjoy all the pleasures of life in this country.
