The little Africa Gardens

Home to astonishing tropical species, this garden is full of amazing species, such as trees with buttress and aerial roots.

Situated between the Tourist Office and the Monte-Carlo Casino, the garden “La Petite Afrique” with its exuberant essences and exotic plants is next to the Boulingrins garden and its magnificent water jets. These two areas were designed by the French landscape gardener and botanist Edouard André at the end of the 19th century. Admission is free to the public. However, to access them, disabled people must follow the signs for the Patrimonial Trees Trail. The garden is certainly sloping but accessible. It is made up of many different types of trees, including those with aerial roots.
