The Monaco open air cinema

Monaco’s open-air cinema dates back to 1948. Since 2002, it has been located on the Rock, below the Oceanographic Museum, on the Esplanade des Pêcheurs.

Every summer, from mid-June to mid-September, it allows you to discover the latest great films in an extraordinary setting, at the foot of the Rock, under the stars and right next to the sea. The good news is that every day is filled with films, offering enough choice to please everyone. What is special about the films? They are all shown in their original version, in English with French subtitles.

A total of 500 seats are available in front of a 200 m2 giant screen. Moreover, there are three types of seating, with varying levels of comfort: white chairs (12€ / 9€ in student rates), green seats (18€) or brown armchairs (23€). A bar is also open for guests. We can’t guarantee you’ll find popcorn there, but it’s still a good opportunity to spend an evening in Monaco-Ville and explore the streets, before or after watching the film!
