U Cavagnetu (whose name means “picnic basket” in Monégasque) has been open since 1967. Its cuisine is sure to delight lovers of tradition and good “Monégasque” dishes. From octopus, to ravioli served with stew, small stuffed dishes to zucchini fritters, customers will have a wide choice!
One of the reasons the establishment, located just a stone’s throw from the Princely Palace, has been open for so long is due to it being family run for three generations. Ondine and Jacky’s currently run the restaurant, and will pass it on to their children. In other words, U Cavagnetu is a charming little place to eat. A friendly atmosphere, perfect for a lunch break between sightseeing or a dinner spent in the calm of Monaco’s little streets.
